Job Description :
Provide necessary training, development support and testing support to third party partners to ensure compatibility of partner computer hardware with Novell products, including running YES Certification tests on servers, workstations, components and appliances. Provide technical testing expertise, escalation & training to Tier 2 hardware partners.


Desired Profile :
Duties and Responsibilities:Receive, track and set up third party partner hardware systems for testing, development and support.Set up and maintain testing environments and assist with maintenance of lab hardware for YES Certification testing.Configure, run, debug and process results of certification testing on partner hardware, including systems (workstations, servers), appliances (point of sale devices), and components (LAN and storage hardware, printers, etc.).Respond proactively/promptly to provide troubleshooting & debugging on the Linux and NetWare OS'es to identify problem source, manage customers' expectations, track progress, & provide resolution. Wil need to test with multiple Novell products, including XEN, OES, SLES, SLED, SLEPOS, etc., as well as Windows and RHEL in virtualized environment.Support Partners' efforts in certifying/re-certifying their technology for the SUSE Linux Enterprise Platform. Clarify certification criteria & testing to partners. Validate certification submissions to correct errors & complete information to create YES Certification bulletins.Possibly assist in and provide certification training to third party partners on Novell's YES program and certification processes.Assist in test kit validation for new kit releases, and on new/updates implementations of Novell products.Build & maintain an effective communication- and knowledge- network for information sharing.


Minimum Qualifications:
2+ years experience with Linux (SUSE and/or RedHat)2+ years experience with computer hardwareStrong troubleshooting and debugging experience and ability. Ability to quickly and efficiently identify, investigate, and troubleshoot problems to isolate the source and provide reliable solutions.Prefer minimum of 2 years testing/support experience in a system networking environment.Responsive & detail oriented with excellent follow-through. Organized & thorough.Excellent interpersonal, written, & verbal communications & presentation skills (business fluent English a must)Ability to work well in team and individual environment.Superior work ethic. High level of initiative & self-motivation. Proactive self-starter. Resourceful.


Preferred Skills:
CLE, CDE or equivalentNetWare/OES experience.Experience with third party OS'es, including Windows 2000, 2003, XP, RHEL and SolarisProgramming & debugging experience in C/C++, Linux Kernel.
