Qualification :The prescribed qualifications with minimum 65% marks in respect of Engineering disciplines and 60% in respect of HR discipline for GEN/OBC candidates and pass class for SC/ST/PH candidates in concerned qualifying Degree examination (Full Time Regular Course), from recognized Indian University / Institute. For BOEs. the requirement of minimum 65% marks in qualifying Engineering Degree Examination is not applicable.
Engineering Disciplines:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Technology (Chemical [including Petrochemicals], Mechanical [excluding Production/Industrial Engg.], Electrical, Civil, Instrumentation, Metallurgy, Computer Science / Information Technology) and Fire Engineering.
Human Resource
Master of Business Administration or its equivalent 2-year Post-Graduate Diploma with specialization in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations or Human Resource
Age Limit: Not exceeding 26 years for Engineers/GAEs/Management Graduates(HR) (relaxation in upper age limit by 5 years for SC/ST/EXSM, 3 years for OBC & 10 years for Physically Challenged persons).
General Instructions
The candidates must have an active e-mail id, which must be valid at least for next 6 months.
Candidates who have appeared/are appearing in final qualifying examination in 2007 may also apply. They will be required to select "RA" (Result Awaited) option from the drop down menu of online application form. However, these "RA" candidates will have to submit documentary proof of having passed the qualifying degree examination with minimum prescribed percentage of marks latest by 31.8.2007. Without this documentary proof, candidates will not be allowed to appear in the GD/GT and Interview.
The online registration of application commences on 2nd May 2007 and closes on 23rd May 2007.

Since the online application form requires details of Demand Draft, caste/sub-caste, date of issue, name of issuing authority, State of origin and the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination etc, the candidates must have the relevant documents / details readily available with them at the time of filling the online application form.

While there is no application fee for SC/ST/PH candidates, General & OBC candidates are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs.300/- by Demand Draft drawn on State Bank of India, Service Branch (Code No. 7687) in favour of INDIAN OIL CORPORATION LIMITED (REFINERIES DIVISION) payable at New Delhi (enter the details of Demand Draft/Bankers Cheque details in the online application form).
Take a print out of your filled in Application Form, put your signature at the space provided for the purpose and send the same by Ordinary Post along with Demand Draft, attested copy of caste/ disability certificate in case of SC/ST/OBC/PH by ordinary post to the Advertiser, Post Box No. 3098, Lodhi Road Head Post Office, New Delhi - 110-003, the same should reach the Post Box latest by 2nd June, 2007.
Write Application for the post of Engineer/Officer in IOCL - 2007, Discipline and Category at the top left-hand corner of the envelope, while sending the print out of the Application Form as above.
